Iced Cream Soda Pound Cake Recipe
Hello, and Happy Wednesday! It’s time to start thinking about weekend baking, and I’m hoping this Iced Cream Soda Pound Cake Recipe makes its way onto your to-do list.
Great for breakfast, great for brunch, great for snacking. It’s just gosh darn GREAT!
I nearly called it an old-fashioned recipe because it combines everything that could possibly remind me of my great-grandmother.
My great-grandmother lived on a rice farm in a teeny tiny rural Louisiana town and after afternoons playing in the barns, she would “treat” my cousins and me to Root Beer or Cream Soda. Somehow, it was always ice cold, always in the bottle, and always magically available whenever we visited.
(here’s little Aimee playing in the barn, probably thinking about bottled cream soda)
Cream Soda combined with a tried and true pound cake recipe sends me skipping down memory lane. It’s nostalgic and I’m pretty positive after one bite, you’ll want a second slice.
Which is why I photographed it with 2 slices on the plate!
You can find the recipe on the Dixie Crystals website. Did you know you can also follow me over there? You can!
My recipe box over there is full of super yummy things like Banana Pudding Layered Cake, Banana Split Brownies, and these Lemon Blackberry Cupcakes.
Now, if you don’t mind I’m going to grab myself a slice of this Iced Cream Soda Pound Cake while you bounce over to their website for the recipe.
Bon appetit!
