Frosted Peach Lemonade
Cool down while celebrating the beauty of peach season with some Frosted Peach Lemonade.
Feelin’ sassy? Splash in a bit of peach vodka.
Peach season in the south is high on the list of things to look forward to each and every year. Peaches are on my Top 5 list, right up there with the return of Louisiana Ponchatoula strawberries. Both are so revered they have festivals built around their wonderfulness.
There is also something truly special about enjoying a deliciously sweet, locally grown product knowing that you are contributing to the livelihood of a farmer who endures the unpredictable nature of Louisiana weather.
And speaking of Louisiana weather, it’s already hot here. Even with the daily rain, we are already pushing the near 90’s. The best way to cool down in the summer time is infusing that fresh fruit into drinks. Drinks like these Frosted Peach Lemonade Slushies. Frozen just enough (though you could certainly make them thicker by adding more ice) to frost the tops and keep you nice and cool.

Ingredients
- For the Peach Simple Syrup:
- 3 fresh peaches peeled, pitted and diced
- 3/4 cup of sugar
- 1 cup of water
- 12 ounces frozen lemonade concentrate
- fresh mint, for garnish
Instructions
Make the simple syrup:
Add the sugar and water in a medium saucepan and stir until dissolve. Add the peaches and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally for about 3-5 minutes.
Remove the pan from heat and cover. Allow the peaches to steep for about 20 minutes.
Pour the peach mixture into a fine mesh strainer, separating the fruit from the liquid. Let cool.
Once the peach syrup is cooled, add the lemonade concentrate and peach syrup to the blender. Use the lemonade can to add an additional 2 cans of water. Begin with 1 cup of ice and blend until smooth. Add additional ice to get the consistency desired. Garnish with a peach slice and sprig of mint, if desired.
I love all the different ways to amp up a basic lemonade recipe and have even written about it before in this 5 Ways to Spice up Southern Sweet Lemonade post. And while you could make a lemonade from scratch, I elected to go the semi-homemade route for this recipe with a can of lemonade concentrate and focus on a peach simple syrup instead. You literally only need 3 ingredients to be well on your way to summertime Peach Lemonade sipping. 4 if you count the water. 5 if you need the mint garnish to make you feel fancy.
I’ve kept things family friendly by not adding alcohol but you could add a splash or two of peach vodka if you’re feeling both fancy and sassy. It’s similar to this Summertime Spiked Peach Tea recipe. Minus the tea of course.
However you choose to enjoy your Frosted Peach Lemonade, don’t miss out on the opportunity to grab some fresh peaches and support local if you can this season.
