Yappy Birthday Lucy: Birthday Party Ideas for Dogs first appeared on July 11, 2011 and continues to be a source of inspiration for birthday party planning for dogs.
Hip Hip Hooray, We Had a PAW-tay!!
My precious Lucy turned 2 and we celebrated with a “pawty” fit for a queen.
WARNING: This post will be heavy with photos!
When planning a party for your pet, it’s important to think about what they would enjoy.
Not that they can read, but our directional sign pointed the
parents into the direction of the dessert table, and designated party play area.
I tried to think of items that would be fun and interactive for the dogs. We had
Yappy Birthday Lucy frisbees, hulla hoops (I thought they could show their
agility and jump through them), balls, and chew toys.
Our dessert table had two sides. One side for the humans and one for the furry friends.
We had 3 Lucy’s at our pawty, and each had a monogrammed “L” pawty hat.
My husband had a business trip in California, and had the opportunity to visit Barney’s
Barkery where he scored the ice cream cone cookies.
For our humans, in addition to treats we had the barbeque grill cranking and offered “Hot Diggity
Dogs”, “Pawtato Chips”, and “Treats”.
