Top 5 Thanksgiving Desserts
Help me decide what to make next week from my Top 5 Thanksgiving Desserts list!
Do you ever get overwhelmed with trying to plan your menu, or choose the dish you want to contribute to the family function because there’s SO much information at your fingertips? Everyone claiming their pie, casserole, turkey brine, etc is the absolute very best making you crack under pressure and paralyzed in your decision making.
If you could see me right now, I’m nodding my head agreeing that I, too, am overwhelmed.
To make it easier on myself, I went through the blog archives and narrowed down my Top 5 Thanksgiving Desserts and decided to let the Internet (you) choose the dessert that will grace my table next week. Fun, right? And it takes me completely out of the equation!
PS: Thanksgiving is in fact, next week.
I posted the first recipe on Instagram accidentally last night so the Pumpkin Cheesecake Trifles are already in the lead, but there’s still a week of voting so I’m not running out to buy a pumpkin just yet.
You can “like” on Instagram, leave a comment here, or vote on Facebook. Who knows, maybe helping me decide what to make next week will help you determine what you’d like to make as well.
In no particular order, here’s my official list of favorite desserts from the past:
Mason Jar Pumpkin Cheesecake Trifles
I like the cheesecakes because individual servings mean your portion is pre-determined, and everything is more fun in a jar.
Featuring a graham cracker crust, creamy sweet potato filling and a toasted marshmallow topping, this “pie” is practically your favorite casserole on steroids.
Cast Iron Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie
Chocolate meets pecan pie in this fan favorite Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie. The Cast Iron wedge pan makes for the perfect pie slice every time.
Brian requested the bread pudding make the top 5 so this Pumpkin Praline worked its way into the list. I’m not mad about it at all.
Sweet Potato Pecan Pie with Maple Bourbon Whipped Cream
Nothing says Thanksgiving like pecan pie and sweet potatoes, so it’s only natural that I combined the two.
See why I’m confused? I want them all!
Which one would you like to see on your Thanksgiving table?
