Grandma’s Old Fashioned Oatmeal Raisin Cookies
Nothing like a batch of Grandma’s Old Fashioned Oatmeal Raisin Cookies to brighten up your day.
I don’t know about you but this time change has me all out of sorts. What time is it again? I know you say it’s 9:00am, but what time is really? Like, it’s 9:00am but it feels like 8:00am, so it’s “really” 8:00am….even though it’s 9:00am?
When it’s really confusing is around lunchtime and bedtime.
I’m constantly wondering if it’s time to eat lunch, or if it’s too early to go to bed. Sigh.

A batch of cookies is just what the Doctor ordered to provide a delicious snack regardless of what time it is. Perfect for a lunchbox, delightful after school snack, and certainly addictive after dinner.
My grandmother made these cookies each time I visited my dad in the summer and while I didn’t necessarily love raisins, there were impossible to pass up. Crispy edges, plump oatmeal centers. I cannot eat an Oatmeal cookie and not think of her.
This recipe is in my Picnics, Potlucks & Porch Parties cookbook as well because it makes the perfect picnic companion. Nothing beats a soft and chewy Old Fashioned Oatmeal Raisin cookie!
