About Aimee
I’m so happy you’re here!
I’m Aimee Broussard, a multi-published cookbook author, award-winning recipe developer and local food columnist for inRegister magazine.
Most importantly, I’m wife to Brian and fur-mom to a gaggle of mostly rescued Cavalier King Charles Spaniels who add snack aficionado to my many titles.
In 2011-ish I haphazardly traded my career in corporate insurance for the aprons, ovens and comforts of home. Armed with merely a recipe box full of family favorites, a KitchenAid mixer wedding gift and a shiny new sewing machine, I set out to master the lost art of crafting, baking and apron making….proving that if I could do it, anyone could. Some days I bake, some days I craft, but everyday I create.
With a penchant for porches and sweet southern hospitality, I hope you’ll find that my recipes are nourishing, the company welcoming, and the pace slow enough to allow you to pause and enjoy this wonderful life we live…preferably with a slice of layered cake in hand.
What you’ll find on Aimee’s Pretty Palate.
Heirloom recipes + sweet southern charm
It’s not just a tagline, it’s a personal motto.
I share recipes that are both beautiful and nourishing.
I share recipes that inspire your own creativity to breathe new life into time-honored favorites like my grandma’s Cajun Bundt Cake from her sorority cookbook written in the 70’s.
I share helpful hints and ideas that elevate ordinary treats into extraordinary offerings for each and every season.
about aimee’s pretty palate
by Aimee Broussard
Aimee’s Pretty Palate was born from the same recipes shared on aimeebroussard dot com. It is the title of my food column assigned to me because my submitted dishes were always so pretty. Their words, not mine.
I believe that anyone can create and serve delicious meals that are also beautiful.
APP is my avenue for showing you how while also inviting you to a seat at my table.
