Y’all. Have you SEEN the new collegiate Jell-O Jigglers Mold Kit?! Your next tailgate needs this. That at home tailgate party you’re getting ready to host now that football season has officially kicked off? Oh, yeah. You’re going to want this mold.
The possibilities with this fabulous little mold go well beyond simply making the Jell-O Jigglers.
But of course, you could stop right there with the jiggly little things.
Coming in under $6 at your local Wal-Mart or readily available on Walmart.com , you need the mold in your life.
There’s also a coupon for .75 off, so they’re practically paying the tax for you, too!
The box contains everything you need to create team colored Jello…plus the mold.
If you’re like me, however, my head was spinning in excitement and didn’t want to stop with the Jell-O.
LSU cake pops (they didn’t exactly work)!
LSU yogurt pops!
LSU candy melts!
See? Head. Exploding.
Today, I’m going to give you 2 more options for your Jell-O Jigglers mold but call me mid-season and I’ll have at least a dozen more. I’m certain of it.
What? You have no Jell-O Jigglers Mold? I’m going to bet you $10 that if you’re a collegiate football fan you will own this mold sometime soon.
Especially after you see my LSU brownies.
But let’s back up a bit for those of you who might be new here and not quite understanding my enthusiasm for the LSU Tigers given the fact that I graduated from a tiny little Christian school and not an LSU alum.
For starters, I married one of their Athletic Directors in 2010.
Our vows went a little something like, “Aimee, do you take Brian in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, and regardless of what bowl game the Tigers make it into?”
“Do you promise to bleed purple, live gold and have a closet full of clothing also in those colors?”
And by saying I do to him, I said I do to all those things.
PS: We did not get married at a football game. I just thought you might like to see the clothing colors.
Then in 2012, committed to my vows of loving, honoring and cherishing the Tigers, I mean, er…my husband, I made a snazzy little apron while hosting a homegate.
Translation: Homegate: tailgating in one’s home in absence of an actual tailgate.
People nearly lost their minds on social media and thus,a company devoted to helping you host equally snazzy homegates was born.
In 2014, we trademarked Kitchen Spirit and the rest is history.
An apron like that BEGS you to up your tailgating party skills.
Jell-O Jigglers Molds will whisper sweet nothings to you. “Hey girl…..I can help you in the team spirit department. I’ve got everything you need behind this Geaux Tigers packaging”.
To whip up these LSU Brownies, you’re going to want to have the following things on hand:
Brownie Mix (or ingredients for homemade, whatever tickles your fancy)
Jell-O Jigglers Mold
You’re going to make your brownies according to package instructions, or whatever recipe you’re using. Once completely cooled, remove from pan and place on a piece of parchment paper so you have room to work.
Meanwhile, go ahead and spray your Jell-O Mold with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
Melt your candy melts. I heat directly in a piping bag, using my fingers to work out any lumps once heated. I find that I can control the filling process a little easier if it’s in a piping bag. You do what works for you.
Fill each mold cavity with the candy melts.
I heated both yellow and purple and did half of each in one tray. I used a little more than half the bag.
If you wanted to use both molds, you’d probably need 2 bags of candy melts.
Once filled, pop candy melts into the refrigerator for a couple of hours or until completely set.
Once set, use a knife to carefully cut the candy melt away from the mold.
GENTLY pop out your candy melt.
Stand back and marvel at your fancy logo’d treat.
Place your mold on top of cut brownie square and sort of eye-ball how much room you will need to cut out. Cut out a little house to drop your candy melt into, making sure you don’t go all the way through the base of the brownie.
This might take a little practice.
Eat the brownie if you don’t succeed on the first try.
Now, like before you could stop here and no one would frown at your efforts but hello, you’re no quitter.
And your brownie looks a little dark and lifeless.
Let’s keep making magic.
Reheat the leftover candy melts and drizzle that yumminess over the sides of your brownie.
If you want people to hang out at your tailgate, then you need to have the best snacks at your tailgate.
These brownies will score you points.
But don’t stop there. Now that you’re the proud owner of the Jell-O Jigglers Mold, use that thing to make yourself some guest bathroom soap.
Team spirited soap.
Because your team? Is so fresh and so clean.
Just purchase the soap base from your craft store, along with some fragrance and team colors.
Use your Jell-O Jigglers Mold to crank out some soap.
Tomorrow kicks off Tailgate Tuesdays!
Every Tuesday throughout the season, I’m going to showcase what I’m working on so you’ll be all set for the weekend games.
You’re welcome, you’re welcome.
