I didn’t really make New Year’s resolutions.
Instead, I sat down with a quite exhaustive lists of goals for 2013.
I even ordered a necklace with my “word”, and will post more about the meaning once it comes in.
Part of those New Year’s resolutions/goal planning is to embrace 2013 as the year that I step outside my normal circles, meet new personalities, and make connections with like minded people.
You know the ones, the people who enjoy food, savor life and figured out how to turn that fascination into a business.
People who appreciate the time and effort that go into handmade products and are spinning the handmade world on its axis .
And especially people who fancy themselves in frilly aprons and devote entire blogs to them.
Those people, those are the ones I want on my radar.
I stumbled on the Apronista site awhile back.
It caught my attention because it’s a site devoted to aprons, apron patterns, apron giveaways, apron swaps, aprons of the week- all things aprons and fun!
But what really caught my attention was Apronista of the Week.
Ladies wearing thier aprons, talking about their love for homemaking, and being featured each week.
So I sent a quick little email, put my inhibitions aside, and waited to see if I, too would be featured.
And then it came, and I exclaimed “I’m Apronista of the Week” and the husband was like “uh huh, that’s nice”.
I think he might be more excited if I didn’t already refer to myself as an “apronista”.
PS: This little apron wearing girl makes a debut on the Apronista site so be sure to go say hi!
I hope you’re having a great week!
