Ready to kick back & chill out with some Tropical Punch Fruit Juice Kool-Aid Slushies?!
Well, come on over because with only two ingredients (minus the ice and garnishes) you’ll be chilin’ in no time.
Made with Kool-Aid brand of fruit juice they are incredibly easy and oh, so yummy.
Here in Louisiana, we’re beginning the departure of Spring and the arrival of Summer.
And in case you didn’t know about our summers here; they get hot, hot, hot.
Luckily, we timed the completion of our new construction just in time before the temperatures start reaching the scorching level but that didn’t mean that moving boxes last weekend with temperatures in the high 80’s wasn’t miserable at times.
To cool things down, I whipped up some Homemade Tropical Punch Kool-Aid Slushies.
I loooooove grabbing a Sonic slushie in the summertime. They’re delicious, cold, and well… they’re slushy.
Unfortunately, the new house is not exactly right around the corner from a Sonic drive through so I took matters into my own hands.
I’ve made grape slushies in the past using the Kool-Aid powder mix, but now that Wal-Mart is selling the ready made Kool-Aid in 96oz bottles, I wanted to give the Tropical Punch a whirl.
No need to mix with water and sugar.
It’s already done for you.
With so many flavor selections, I found it impossible to narrow down which type of slushie my movers might like, so I purchased several flavors and varieties.
I’m all about some options. And I have a couple of get togethers coming up and have big plans for the Cherry Limeade.
For a fizzy slushy, you’ll simply need to combine:
1 1/2 cups of the Tropical Punch Kool-Aid
1 cup of club soda
3-4 cups of ice (3 if you like it juicy, 4 if you like it more icy)
Toss it into the blender and let it roar until your ice is smooth.
Now, you want to know the secret to not only cooling down your movers, but making them feel appreciated?
Garnish those Tropical Punch Kool-Aid slushies!
They’ll be like oh wow, you didn’t need to go through all that trouble and you’ll be all “really, really it’s no bother…..now follow me with those shoe boxes to my closet”.
Works. Like. Magic!
And for those of you who live in the following locations, pro fisherman Jim Dillard will be stopping in to promote the new 96oz bottles of Kool-Aid. There will be product giveaways, t-shirts, games, and fun activities!
