It’s my birthday, ya’ll!
If you follow me on Instagram then you know I’ve been celebrating all week.
I truly believe that each day we are granted here on this earth is a gift, and when it’s birthday time one day is hardly sufficient.
I plan on making a strawberry margarita pie tonight and if you were guessing I’d want a matching apron then you would be correct!
Oh, how I love to match my food while cooking.
I’ve been on a bit of a modifying apron kick.
It all started with the Imperial Sugar Sack Makeover.
Like the sugar sack, the solid pink part of this apron is pre-manufactured.
I simply whacked it off and added some ruffles. The world is better with ruffles, don’t you agree?
I also added a festive birthday cake applique.
And voila.
A birthday apron for the birthday girl. Me!
Now birthdays usually call for gifts so I thought it might be nice if I gave YOU one of your very own.
I mean, it’s not your birthday but it will be one day.
Hosting an ice cream party?
There’s an app for that. Applique that is.
We’ll just change out the ruffle fabrics and add you an ice cream cone.
