I have the sweetest and most talented friends. And they’re the funniest.
Sandy from Firefly Confections and I joke that we need to start a support group called “Buttercream Anonymous”.
Sometimes our text messages go a little something like “My name is Aimee, and it’s been 2 days since my last bite of buttercream” to which she might respond “My name is Sandy, and it’s been 20 minutes since I licked buttercream off my finger”.
So when she found this lovely screen printed apron from Captain Leisure Tees, it came as no surprise that we needed it:
You know, for when we’re licking the buttercream from the bowl text messaging one another about our shared addiction.
Of course, in our world of modified aprons, the apron in its original state just would not do.
She needed a flower made with ticking fabric and a denim button cover.
She needed pockets to hold our phones while we bake.
And by golly, she needed a ruffle.
I mean, can anyone bake these days without ruffles? Exactly. I didn’t think so.
Let’s take another look at that logo:
Why yes, the two organizers of the Buttercream Anonymous group now have matching aprons.
You keep your treadmills, we’ll keep our buttercream bowls.
And as I said on Instagram- “Don’t hate, participate!”

This is precious and it’s even a ruffle I could handle!!! I’m not a buttercream addict but sub cream cheese frosting and in my world it could be it’s own food group!
